PROBLEM & CHALLENGES

Website Structure Issue:

The main problem we encountered when we initially started working on this project was the improper organization and underdevelopment of the website, as well as the low traffic it received.

As a result, the website faced multiple issues, including poor navigation, lack of hierarchy, broken links, slow load times, duplicate content, and more.

 

Website accessibility issue

When we began working on this project, the website was not accessible from various locations/IPs, including the USA and India.

Initially, the website could only be accessed via a UK VPN. As we were targeting the United States, the website was unavailable from the United States and India. Consequently, we disabled IP filtering on the website to allow crawlers from other countries to access it.

This adjustment will also be beneficial in generating more traffic for the site from different countries.

 

Identifying the Right Keywords:

Ranking the targeted keywords in SERPs was an extremely challenging task because they all held low positions in the rankings.

As the main objective of the project was to identify the right keywords, here are some key factors we had to consider while selecting the appropriate keywords:

  • Using long-tail keywords
  • Choosing relevant keywords
  • User intent Keywords
  • High competition keywords

Hreflang language Issue:

Additionally, another challenging issue we encountered was related to the Hreflang code on the 3D Studio website, which is a multi-language site.

As a result, all the other language pages on the website were getting indexed except for heir target pages, making it a significant challenge.

To address this, we implemented the Hreflang language code as "x-default" for all the pages. 

The website, by default, opens in the en-us language so that we can achieve rankings for English keywords: 

 

 

Keyword Stuffing

The targeted keywords were used frequently throughout all the blogs targeted in the 3D project.

 

Before our content optimization efforts, keyword prominence and proximity were not appropriately utilized.

High Competitive Keywords

The main issue with this project was that all of the keywords were in non-ranking positions when we first started working on them, and it was extremely difficult to rank these keywords in SERPs.

Ranking well for terms like 3D sculpting, polygon mesh, sculpting software, among others, was extremely critical.

 

Dummy Content

We also found dummy content in the backend of some pages on the website, which we removed from the backend because dummy variables reduce the amount of available data and the estimator's breakdown point necessarily deteriorates.

Content Translating Issue

Because the incorrect language code is being used, the entire content on all the other language pages is not being translated accurately.

To effectively fix them, we advised utilizing Hreflang attributes code and website translation software that works automatically.

 

Multiple Language Codes for One Page

Multiple language codes are specified for a single URL by the hreflang attributes. 

The same URL is referenced by both hreflang=" en" and hreflang=" de," for instance.

This can be problematic to search engines because it is not clear which of the listed languages the material on the page is delivered in or which version of the page should be displayed to website visitors.
